About This Pitch Matching Trainer

Singing in tune is ear training you can hear working: your voice becomes the instrument, and the microphone becomes the judge. This free tool plays a target note, listens through your mic with real-time pitch detection, and shows instantly whether you are on the note, too high, or too low.

How to use it

Enable your microphone, choose your voice range — bass, baritone, tenor, alto, mezzo, or soprano — and press play. Sing or hum toward the target and follow the live meter; hold the correct pitch steadily for two seconds to score a success. Practice freely, or switch to random-quiz mode to be tested across your whole range.

Level progression

Your successes, attempts, best hold, and streak are tracked as you go. Start with a narrow, comfortable set of notes and widen the range as your accuracy improves — steady beats sliding every time.

FAQ: Is my voice recorded or uploaded?

No. All pitch detection runs locally in your browser using the Web Audio API. Nothing you sing is recorded, stored, or sent anywhere — the audio is analyzed on your device in real time and discarded.
